Deck Designs CD-ROM installation instructions

To Install Deck Designs:

* Insert the CD into your CD-ROM or DVD drive.

* On the Windows Taskbar, click the Start icon, then select Run from the menu choices.

* Type the CD-ROM or DVD drive letter followed by: \setup (e.g., D:\setup), click OK or press Enter.

NOTE: Your CD-ROM or DVD drive letter may not be D: You can verify your CD-ROM or DVD drive letter by double clicking the My Computer Icon on your Desktop and looking for the CD-ROM icon.

       

* Follow the on-screen instructions.

* when prompted: Enter the PRODUCT KEY located on the inside cover of the CD-ROM.

NOTE: Use all uppercase letters and hyphens.

I've installed Deck Designs, but now I can't run the program

To Run Deck Designs:

* The Deck Designs CD-ROM must be inserted into the CD-ROM or DVD drive in order for the program to run properly.

* Cleaning the disc: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to remove spots, dust or finger-prints. Always wipe from the center to the outside edge and never wipe in a circular motion.

Windows 7 Users: Running the Deck Designs Software on Windows 7

To Run Deck Designs on Windows 7:

Some computers running Windows 7 may experience a problem with the installation program. If you experience any trouble when installing the software, and/or receive a Windows Message such as: “Setup.exe   the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running. Check your computers’ system information to see whether you need an x86(32bit) or x64(64bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.”<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

 

Make sure the Deck Designs CD-ROM is in your CD-ROM or DVD Drive. You will need to know the Drive Letter of your CD-ROM or DVD Drive, such as "D", "E", "F", etc. To find the Drive Letter of your CD-ROM or DVD Drive, CLICK the START Button Icon and CHOOSE MY COMPUTER. The Drive that contains the Deck Designs CD-ROM will be labeled as: DD360.  Once you have determined your Drive Letter CLOSE the MY COMPUTER Application.

To Run the Deck Designs Software:

* Insert the CD into your computer’s CD-ROM or DVD Drive.

* On the Windows Taskbar, click the START icon, then select RUN

* Type the CD-ROM or DVD Drive letter followed by   :\DecksUSA\Deck Designs.exe

(e.g., D:\DecksUSA\Deck Designs.exe),

You can Copy and Paste the following and ADD the Drive Letter in Front of it. :\DecksUSA\Deck Designs.exe

* Click OK or press ENTER.

* Follow the On-Screen Instructions.

To Run the Deck Designs Software Using My Computer:

* Insert the CD into your computer’s CD-ROM or DVD Drive.

* On the Windows Taskbar, click the START icon, then select MY COMPUTER

* CHOOSE the FOLDERS Tab from the upper Taskbar.

* CHOOSE (from the left column) the DD360 Drive Folder

* CHOOSE the DecksUSA Sub-Folder

 * DOUBLE REGULAR CLICK the Deck Designs File (from the right column)

* Follow the On-Screen Instructions.

NOTE: The installation program, that may not have installed correctly, only contained the set up for the shortcut to the Deck Designs Software.

 

To Create a Desktop Shortcut for the Deck Designs Software:

* Make sure the Deck Designs CD is in your CD-ROM or DVD Drive.

* CLICK the START Button and CHOOSE MY COMPUTER. The Drive that contains the Deck Designs CD-ROM will be labeled as: DD360.

* DOUBLE REGULAR CLICK the Drive Icon. Then DOUBLE REGULAR CLICK the DecksUSA Folder.

* SINGLE RIGHT CLICK the Deck Designs.exe File.
   NOTE: The .exe extension may not be visible. In this case, SINGLE RIGHT CLICK the Deck Designs File.

* CHOOSE Create Shortcut. A message may appear stating "Windows cannot create a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?"  CHOOSE YES.

Missing vct32161.dll

The program will function properly without this file by simply clicking OK when message is prompted.

NOTE: You Must include your Name (the name used when ordered) and approximate Date the product was purchased, and...

I'm stuck in the REGISTRATION Screen and I can't get out!

* Type in your FIRST Name and press the ENTER key.

 * Type in your LAST Name and press the ENTER key.

* Type in your EMAIL Address and press the ENTER key.
NOTE: The Email entry is optional.  If you do not have an Email Address, you still must press the ENTER Key.

* A choice of SAVE or REDO is presented in button form. When you select SAVE the program begins. The registration screen never appears on the same computer again. If you select REDO you will be prompted to re-enter the information.
NOTE: you MUST use your mouse to click the SAVE Button.

Care and Handling Instructions

To maintain the integrity of the data stored on the disc, please use the following care and handling guidelines:

* Handle the disc only by the outer edge to prevent fingerprints and smears on the surface.

* Store the disc in the protective case.

* Do not leave the disc in direct sunlight or in a hot or humid environment.

* Cleaning the disc: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to remove spots, dust or finger-prints. Always wipe from the center to the outside edge and never wipe in a circular motion.
